Story

Hello, Hello,

Last year, I decided it was probably about time for me to have my first skin check. A skin check was one thing that I never really thought of as being totally necessary as “it was never going to be me.” I didn’t tan that much. I got sunburnt every so often but wasn’t a pro tanner.

Just before my 29th birthday I had my biopsy and thought everything would be fine - it’s nothing - people get things cut out all the time. After my birthday I got an urgent call to go back in to see the Doctor.

Yep, so this tiny, little dot - was a stage 2 Melanoma. Anyways - had a wide excision and luckily had clear margins. So I am lucky. So, so lucky. However, it still doesn’t stop the constant fear or what if’s or regular medical checks that every time I go to give me butterflies.

GET YO SKIN CHECKED - and fake tan...!! It’s just not worth it.

So if anyone is keen to walk with me (this easy little walk) or donate that would be so amazing!!
I have made a little group up called the MelaNomads so if you want to join me on the day feel free to join the group so we can fundraise and walk together to help raise funds and awareness for all my Melahomies.

Thanks so much for your support!

Anna
